My wish for the world would be that every man, woman and child would, for just one moment, know themselves to be in the presence of something greater than any of us and feel stronger because of it.
Thanks, Mike, for posting the link. I’ll post it on my blog, too.

December 19th, 2006 at 7:52 pm
I wish that the idea of the UNO is resurrected and done right this time, without imperialistic veto powers, without “foreign aid” to be used for bribery, with some actual teeth to do some good in the world.
December 19th, 2006 at 7:50 pm
My wish is that no more families would endure bitter breakups.

December 19th, 2006 at 7:29 pm
If I had one wish for the world, it would be this - that all the people of this world, no matter what race, culture or religion, would stand united. I wish we could all simply realize “the world is but one country, and mankind its citizens.”
December 19th, 2006 at 5:35 pm
I wish for compassion towards each other, and ourselves. Also, for everyone to recycle and free education for all. Thank you for this wonderful idea and all the very best.
December 19th, 2006 at 5:21 pm
My one wish is not for “others” to be better, or for faceless governments to change policies, or for NGOs to make a difference, or for organizations, groups, categories of any kind.
My wish for the world is that I will be a better human being, and so doing, will be more, do more, and give more to those in need.
(Bonus wish: that you - yes you reading right now - would do the same.)
December 19th, 2006 at 5:16 pm
How could I have forgotten? MUSIC and DANCING… Let EVERYONE hear the beauty of music and express themselves through dancing.
It’s impossible to dance to a good tune without a smile on your face… which brings me back to spreading LOVE, sweet LOVE…
A smile can go a long way in making someone’s day - so can a lil booty shakin’, so get out there and shake a tail feather! Let it ALLLLLLL out, tap them toes and get busy being happy.
Woot! Smile, dance, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE - we have so much to be thankful for - start enjoying it, people. Good things come to those with pure hearts and smiles on their faces. I know I can’t resist smiling back at a mouth full of teeth shining at me ;)
December 19th, 2006 at 5:01 pm
Peace on earth and good will towards men. Seriously.
December 19th, 2006 at 4:34 pm
My wish would be for everyone to take a step back and just appreciate what they have, as well as be open and forgiving to everyone around them. The happiness of the world is the collective happiness of each individual and my wish would be that everyone would just slow down, stop hurting eachother and the world we live in for the persuit of happiness when it is already there. It is in the rain, it is in a child’s laughter, it is in the sunshine, it is in kind words, and it’s clearly in this “million dollar blog-post” idea.
My love goes out to everybody and I wish them enlightenment in being able to realize that the happiness that they keep chasing after is already there, in their hearts and in everything around them!
December 19th, 2006 at 4:28 pm
I wish that everyone can plant one tree.
Big or small..it doesn’t matter…just plant one tree.
December 19th, 2006 at 4:26 pm
I wish more peoples would take the time to care. About anything or anyone really.
Cheers.
December 19th, 2006 at 4:15 pm
I wish the world LOVE, sweet love… If we all spread a little love everyday, the world’s cares could go away! STOP fighting and start LOVING, people - it’s what we are born to do!!
(That, and if everyone would please REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE, specifically in that order.)
December 19th, 2006 at 4:14 pm
Hi guys, I can’t apologise enough for the selfish nature of this post, but do you know what…when you’re at the bottom, you’ll try anything…
…I wish that one day soon, I can wake up knowing that my third job in 6 months will be safe, I will be able to buy my son a birthday and christmas present, that I will not have to sell my wife’s precious jewellery to pay for the roof over our heads…and that one day, my family will be sufficiently provided-for that I can dedicate my time to helping others fulfill their dreams…any prayers welcome.
December 19th, 2006 at 4:02 pm
My wish is much the same as Nancy’s (#51). When more people realize that the Law of Attraction isn’t confined to attracting the positives in life, there will be a tremendous shift in global mentality.
December 19th, 2006 at 3:58 pm
I wish everyone in the world would take a deep breath.
December 19th, 2006 at 3:50 pm

December 19th, 2006 at 2:18 pm
My simple wish is that for the holidays, people turn off their computers, put away their iPods, and leave the cell phones at home and get out into their communities. Help someone less fortunate than you.
December 19th, 2006 at 1:51 pm
This is wonderful.
My wish for us all this Christmas is that we all help each other get started. Here’s a link to a wonderful essay that explains what I mean. http://37days.typepad.com/37days/2006/04/just_help_them_.html
My wish for myself this Christmas is that I manage to have a happy holiday season, and manage to help my friends and family have one too.

December 19th, 2006 at 12:36 pm
My wish is for everyone in the world to realize what effect global warming has on earth. Then do one thing to
help prevent or reverse it.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:35 pm
Hope that Human Rights will be respected, without any discrimination
December 19th, 2006 at 12:35 pm
My wish is for everyone to wake up to the realization that we, the people, have never had as much control over information and general knowledge as we do now… and knowledge is power. Peace!
December 19th, 2006 at 12:31 pm
Wishing that Jeff Sach’s vision of how to end extreme poverty is acheived in our lifetimes. Innumerable social benefits should follow.

December 19th, 2006 at 12:30 pm
What a perfect holiday project!!! Mahalo!
I wish for us all to learn that our fears make us smaller, that our perception of “never enough” grows within us like a cancer, and that we will all feel safer when we uphold each other with our assets instead of clubbing each other with our wants and needs.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:06 pm
I wish that people would take their heads out of their asses and realize that the world is not all candy and sunflowers.
I also wish for world peas…iron deficiency is a terrible blight on society.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:03 pm
I wish for people to realize that religion is a terrible reason to kill people. As bad a reason as oil or money.
I wish that politicians cared about things that are on a longer time horizon than their own stay in office (max 4 years). It’s hard to execute 20 year solutions to problems when we change our minds every 4 years.
December 19th, 2006 at 11:55 am
My wish is that everyone would recognize that their thoughts create reality and take responsibility by choosing thoughts carefully.
December 19th, 2006 at 11:19 am
My wish for the world is that everyone who is in pain might find comfort.
December 19th, 2006 at 11:09 am
My wish is for anyone reading this comment to:
1) Track down an old friend that you haven’t spoken to in 15 years.
2) Give them a call to tell them that you were thinking of them.
3) Tell them about this post and ask them to post their wish.
4) Smile. (I did. ;-)
December 19th, 2006 at 10:39 am
Wish? Anything? OK.
I wish we could reverse entropy on demand.
December 19th, 2006 at 10:27 am
I’d like Niagra Falls to shut off the power generation diversion and allow as much water to safely flow so that we could see it something like it was before man got to manipulating it (not the 25% that is currently flowing).
December 19th, 2006 at 10:08 am
I wish for a universally respected and accepted bill of rights, right to live nourished, right to medical care, right free expression of ideas, and so on… things that we take for granted by many do not have.
December 19th, 2006 at 10:01 am
Austin,
This is an incredible effort - great work.
My one wish for the world would be that we would all learn to see each other as significantly more similar than we are different, and realize that our differences are trivialities that make life interesting and special, rather than things over which to create such hatred.
-Mike
December 19th, 2006 at 9:59 am
My wish would be an end to religion in the world. Without religion, education would have a chance to flourish and grow. People could learn and actually acquire the basic knowledge needed to help themselves and others. Because people had easy access to knowledge, science wouldn’t be hindered by ancient and silly superstitions. An unhindered science means a better quality of life for everyone. A better quality of life means fewer conflicts, less war, less oppression. Disease would fade as nothing more than a memory and mankind could become what it was meant to be.
December 19th, 2006 at 9:42 am
End war, End conspiracy, End terrorism.
Start love, Start cooperation, Start happiness, Start world peace
December 19th, 2006 at 9:23 am
My one wish would be that we could all rise above our base human instincts and our irrationality. All the rest would follow from that.
December 19th, 2006 at 8:56 am
Ever Tried?
Ever Failed?
Try Again, Fail Again
Fail Better.
- Beckett
I wish people would learn to fail gracefully and try again harder. Sooner or later fail turns to succeed. (though honestly I am deliberately skewing Beckett’s intent) Hey I am failing better
December 19th, 2006 at 8:55 am
An end to religious and ethnic violence.
December 19th, 2006 at 8:31 am
I wish the world would slow down, take some time, and collectively figure out what’s really important.
December 19th, 2006 at 7:33 am
I wish that the people of the world would learn to realize that the differences between us is what makes us special and to quit trying to force their views on others. What a boring place this world would be if we were all the same.
December 19th, 2006 at 7:15 am
i wish there could be more equality
December 19th, 2006 at 6:51 am
You know sometimes I sit and wonder
Just how this world would be
If we had all the people laughing
And everybody living in harmony
Tell me, can you imagine
All the children playing
And everyone dancing in the street
We say sela, sela ;)
December 19th, 2006 at 6:47 am

December 19th, 2006 at 5:31 am
I wish that a cure for AIDS could be found.
December 19th, 2006 at 4:08 am
My wish for the world is that people in poverty will have better means and tools to bring themselves out of poverty. As the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus (founder of Grameen Bank) has shown us, even loans as small as a few dollars can have the power to change the lives of people in poverty. We now have better means to help people in poverty from around the world.
December 19th, 2006 at 1:13 am
I wish the every child will have a home, full of laughters and joy.
December 19th, 2006 at 1:04 am
My wish is for more people to recognize the impact their actions have on the the environment and take action to improve the sustainability of the way we live.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:54 am
I wish we would all sing more.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:54 am
I wish for there to be no hippocracy, that people accept truth and deal with it rather than choosing an easier way and attributing their fears and insecurties to acts of religion and such. and I really wish that everyone knows that every person born into this world has the same right to happiness as any other.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:29 am
I wish that everyone in the world could live their whole lives peacefully with the ones they love, with the ability to travel freely, and the means to live a happy life untouched by pain and suffering.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:27 am
That the 10 countries with the highest GDP will donate 10% of their annual income to the poorest parts of the world.
December 19th, 2006 at 12:14 am
Privacy and the freedom to explore new ideas that it brings.

December 18th, 2006 at 10:06 pm

December 18th, 2006 at 9:25 pm
My wish is twofold: 1. To eliminate hunger 2. To find a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease asap. For more info on the last one, I’d like to list an article if I may: http://ww-success.com/blog/index.php/2006/12/15/using-entrepreneurial-spirit-to-find-cure/
I like what you are doing on this site and will support it. Best wishes.

December 18th, 2006 at 7:43 pm

December 18th, 2006 at 5:32 pm

Free education for everyone. Good education. You know the sort of thing.
December 18th, 2006 at 3:53 pm
I wish that for just one day a year - everybody would have to say Hello to strangers & friends just like dogs do. By sniffing each other :)
That would make me laugh.

December 18th, 2006 at 2:16 pm
One wish–stop f**king fighting! Then all the other wishes come true…
December 18th, 2006 at 1:06 pm
i posted on my site, $1 to charity per comment there too. so hopefully we’ll get a few comments there, and then commenters will come here, so that should mean $2 per comment, more or less. I haven’t done the math, but I might sponsor here with the number of comments I get there, or maybe double the sum. It’s confusing! (Is that double dipping??)
anyway, a wish: leaders with more empathy.
December 18th, 2006 at 12:33 pm
My one wish for the world is for the harmony we are capable of within ourselves to be one with the harmony of the universe.
December 18th, 2006 at 4:23 am

Over the holiday period, we wish that this project entertains you and your families.
Our greatest wish is that through this project we can show the world how rich and abundance our communities generosity can be.
Happy wishes world.
